Pictures from Tulum, Chetumal, and Corozal.
Posted by Jamie Orman on December 10th, 2009So tonight I am going to attempt to write up a post for Sarteneja, Orange Walk, and Caye Caulker. I will then post all three and hopefully be able to keep you up to date!
BUT I do have a ton of pictures. So in this post I am going to try and post all the ones from before Sarteneja that you haven’t had the chance to see. (Which reminds me, all the pictures I post I have better quality ones, so if anyone wants larger ones let me know).
Right now we are in our last night on the island of Caye Caulker. We have fallen in love with it (we seem to say that about a lot of places, no?). Tomorrow we head to Belize City for a night, then 8 miles north to Ladyville where we will volunteer.
Alright, so we haven’t had pictures in a while. Which means I have a whole lot to cover. I’m going to try and keep this simple. In this post we are going to mash all the pictures for places I’ve already written about in one. That means Tulum (Mexico), Chetumal (Mexico), and Corozal (Belize) will be in one.
Alright. So I don’t know if you remember but while in Tulum Chris and I had a horrible night. That was when we slept in the hammocks with no blankets and were freezing. We both were up at 3 and stayed up until the sun rose. Then we jumped into the water. Here are some pictures of the sun rise and of a cat we named Max who sat with us for a while, along with the hammocks (including me actually sleeping in one!).
While in Tulum we also visited the ruins. They were nice, but by this point we were sick of Tulum so didn’t really stay that long. Got a lot of pictures though.
I was sick for most of our time in Chetumal, so we didn’t do much or get many pictures. We did get one that Chris said his mom would find amusing (hope you like the chickens!!) and one of the museum we went to, and then another of the store across from our hotel. The owners were sitting outside playing guitar and the accordian.
Not too many pictures from Corozal either. Only 4. We didn’t do too much there either. It was our relazing city. =]
Alright. Chris and I are off to eat at Jolly Rogers world famous resturant that has 3 lobster tails, mashed potatoes, garlic bread, rice, 2 rum cocktails, all for $10 USD. Not to mention it tastes amazing!!!
Hopefully I can write the three other posts and have them up for you all soon.
